Prideaux Place was the home of the Prideaux family for 400 years, going back to the time Queen Elizabeth I was on the throne. It is a magnificent building to visit, set into the hill above the fishing port of Padstow, with stunning views of the Camel Estuary and beyond.
The house has undergone considerable restoration and is currently undergoing restoration of the grounds, talking the ancient garden back to its original glory.
The house is now a major film location - Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Peter O'Toole and Joanne Lumley are amongst the famous names who have acted at this beautiful house.
