Croyde Bay and the nearby beach at Saunton sands are Devon’s most popular surfing spots. In the summer time Croyde comes alive, surfers from all over come to experience the brilliant beach breaks of the southwest.
Croyde Bay has a rocky foreshore to the north and south, but the majority of the beach consists entirely of fine sand, which is ideally suited for many sports and activities. There are beautiful dunes that rise steeply along the full length of the sands, which extend to more than half a mile in length.
