Great room and breakfast

Posted by Louise and Steve from Nottingham, United Kingdom

Don't hesitate about booking this B&B. We were treated as part of the family during our stay with Dawn's warm welcome and her first class hospitality throughout our stay. Greeted with her friendliness and a tray of tea and biscuits by a glowing fire. Our room and bathroom were spacious, scrupuously clean and everything you needed, including fresh milk on the beverage tray. Views from the room were stunning. The breakfast was spot on - well cooked, fresh and set us up for the day. A huge thank you to Dawn for making our stay so enjoyable .... this includes lending us her OS maps and filling our flasks for us!! A great place to stay ... doubt you'll be disappointed.

Very Welcoming

Posted by Diane O'Leary from Frome, United Kingdom

We had a very welcoming cuppa and biccies by a roaring fire on our arrival. Very relaxed and comfortable B&B, with very cute dogs and chickens. Plenty of maps and books to borrow for exploring the area. I recommend asking for scrambled eggs for brekkie - scrumptious! We'll be back!

The best place we've stayed - ever!

Posted by yelldevon from Blackpool, United Kingdom

We really cant put into words just how wonderful our stay at Hillside was - Dawn and Richard were wonderful hosts, helping to make our holiday a success, advising on where to eat, what to do, local walks etc. The house itself is an absolute gem, beautifully finished to a high standard set in idyllic gardens full of wild birds and flowers with breathtaking views of the valley. The location is perfect for seeing the best North Devon has to offer, from Croyde for the surfers, Barnstaple for the shoppers and gorgeous Clovelly for sightseers - Combe Martin itself is relatively unspoilt and charming, and there is alot to do in the nearby area. Hillside offers the perfect retreat at amazing value for money. We wil definitely stay there again and have recommended it to our family and friends. (Dawns breakfasts are out of this world too!) You need to see it to believe it, book it today! Thankyou Dawn and Richard for a wonderful holiday.
