Wilton is a small town in Wiltshire, which has a rich heritage dating back to Anglo-Saxon times. It lies five miles to the West of Salisbury and is best known as a carpet manufacturing centre.

  • Being over -shadowed by the great Salisbury the town only has a few shops and attractions but does have a real jewel, the Indigo Jones’ Wilton House, which has a fantastic collection of paintings by artists such as Van Dyck, Rembrandt and Tintoretto.
