Grooms cottage is nestled in a south facing position with panoramic views over the Avill valley that inspired C. F. Alexander to write the famous hymn “All things bright and beautiful”. It is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Grooms cottage is approached through Avill Nurseries that is a working wholesale nursery (not open to the public) specialising in camellias and rhododendrons.
The cottage is a single storey detached property and is situated near to the owner’s home, sharing the garden but with its own private area and patio with garden furniture and barbecue. The cottage is tastefully and comfortably furnished with co-ordinating quality fabrics and fitted carpets throughout. The double aspect lounge/diner/kitchen has a comfortable cottage suite, colour TV with video recorder, oak dining table, night storage radiator and log effect electric fire.
