Dulverton sits on the southern fringes of the Exmoor National Park and is a pretty Somerset town with a few interesting little shops and some good places for tea/ lunch as well as a bank, post office and other general amenities.

The small town is actually the headquarters of the Park Authority and there is a visitor centre with lots of information about Exmoor and Dulverton as well as an art gallery, library and exhibitions.

  • There are many guided walks around the area. A popular local walk follows the River Barle and if you need to blow the cobwebs out Winsford Hill and the wilds of Exmoor is just a few miles away. Horse riding can also be organised from West Anstey Farm and Liscombe Farm.
