My wife and I recently arranged a 'wider-family' weekend and booked all the rooms for one night as part of our time away. My wife popped in about a month after the booking was taken to get the receipt that still hadn't arrived despite being told it would be sent to us. When she arrived she was told by the proprietor that if we wanted all the rooms we would now have to book for two nights at double the cost!

think this review is a hoax. We charge £20 per night per room deposit and we send a confirmatory email with all bookings. If this person called in for a receipt she would have known all this. They do not say if we refunded the deposit. Our policy on refunding deposits is never, under any circumstances. I suspect the reaction in a genuine case when faced with such an unreasonable response from us would have been much more robust. If we had taken a deposit for one night we would certainly have honored it . What is correct is that two nights does cost twice one night, usually.
